Overview
This program reviews neonatal physiology and provides learners the opportunity to practice high risk neonatal skills at 6 skill stations, followed by simulation and debriefing.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Discuss normal transition from fetal to neonatal physiology.
  2. Identify risk factors that may impact morbidity in neonates.
  3. Provide return demonstration on highrisk neonatal skills practiced in skills stations.
  4. Verbalize and demonstrate management strategies to improve neonatal outcomes.

Accreditation

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is accredited by the Maine Medical Association Committee on Continuing Medical Education and Accreditation to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
